SUNY's College of Nanoscale Science & Engineering (CNSE) will host a workshop on behalf of the Department of Energy’s SunShot Initiative entitled SunShot Prize: Race to the Rooftops on July 10, 2013. The event will be held at the Marriott Marquis hotel, Salon 5/6, in San Francisco, California.

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the SunShot Prize challenges the ingenuity of America’s businesses and communities to make it faster, easier, and cheaper to install rooftop solar energy systems. This competition offers a total of up to $10 million in cash awards to the first three teams that repeatedly demonstrate an average of $1 per watt (W) for non-hardware costs such as customer acquisition, finance, permitting and interconnection.

The SunShot Prize Workshop is focused on solar soft cost challenges and how the SunShot Prize can help spur business innovation.

The event will focus on the following topics, featuring experts and stakeholders in each area:

  • Introduction to the SunShot Prize
  • Brainstorming: New Business Models and Winning Scenarios
  • Panel: Innovative Partnerships
Join us July 10, 2013 from 9:00 am—12:00 pm for an interactive and insightful conversation on the pathways of PV deployment. Weigh in

on the discussion topics and engage with other stakeholders. Register today!
